Understanding A Whole Child
Dr. Clifford Mayes, PhD, is a professor of educational psychology and multicultural studies at Brigham Young University. His area of expertise lies in depth-psychological models of education and holistic educational theory. He has written 10 books and over 35 refereed articles in peer-reviewed journals on these topics. He was recently invited to Oxford University in the U.K. to deliver an address on his work. The second edition of his fifth book, Understanding the Whole Student: Holistic Multicultural Education, (2016) is considered Rowman and Littlefield Education Press’ front-line book in the theory and practice of multicultural education and is the first book to take a holistic approach to multicultural education.
Krystelle Rose is directing the 5th annual Utah Waldorf Conference to be held in Highland, UT on August 12-13. Information about this event can be found at utahwaldorf2016.eventbee.com or on the Utah Waldorf Facebook page. She is slated to earn her M.Ed. Degree in Waldorf Education in 2016 and is also currently pursuing her MBA. Krystelle has been involved with Waldorf Education for over 12 years and was a presenter on Waldorf Education at the 2015 Winter Homeschool Conference. In 2013 Krystelle initiated the first Utah Waldorf charter school (Wasatch Charter School) and served as one of three directors for 1½ years before stepping down to aid and be a founder for a new Utah Waldorf Charter School, Ivy Preparatory Academy which was recently approved by the State. She is currently working on a new Utah Waldorf charter initiative, Mountain Sunrise Academy.
