WHO WILL LEAD THEM? FIVE WAYS TO POSITION YOUR CHILDREN TO LEAD IN THE 21ST CENTURYThe world today operates nothing like it did when our educational system was created. Today’s jobs, the ones you want your children to have, don’t look anything like the factory or assembly line. Work is now flexible and done from almost anywhere. Innovation, not conformity, is valued and rewarded. The job market is starving for people who know how to think, create and disrupt.
Because you homeschool, your children will avoid the factory training and assembly line mentality perpetuated by most schools today. But avoiding this isn’t enough. Come learn about the top five things you can do to position your students to lead in the 21st century.
James is a homeschooler who went on to graduate in the top 5% of his class in law school. After his best friend Nels Jensen (also a homeschooler) graduated with his MBA, they partnered to become education entrepreneurs and co-found Williamsburg Learning, which has attracted talented team members from many industries including business, government, life coaching, nonprofit, and higher education, with credentials that range from published authors to Harvard grads, and most of these team members also come from a homeschool background. Through Williamsburg Adventures, James helps lead international humanitarian expeditions and adventures in the outdoors for students, families, and educators. James loves literature, movies, food, running, biking, backpacking, climbing, and hanging out with his wife and four children. He hopes he doesn’t die from exhaustion when he runs the Boston Marathon in 2017.
