Come enjoy a whole-learning, multi-sensory approach to education through experiencing a Waldorf "circle-time." We will use beanbags and movement to learn math facts, color with block crayons to explore our creativity, etc.
Waldorf education is an engaging holistic, organic approach to educating a child. It's methods are used widely throughout the world in both public and private schools as well as home schooling. The focus is on honoring each individual's path in life and giving opportunities for exploring life and the natural world through the use of stories, song, rhythm and movement, and creating their own main lesson book. Come learn more about this fantastic way to honor your child's passion for life and learning. There will be a short overview of Waldorf Education and also time for questions and answers!
“Receive the child in reverence. Educate them with love. Send them forth in freedom.” – Rudolf Steiner-Founder of Waldorf Education
Krystelle Rose is currently getting her Masters in Waldorf Education at Rudolf Steiner College. She has been involved with Waldorf education for over ten years.
In October of 2013, Krystelle instigated a Utah Waldorf Charter Initiative and serves as a Director and a Founder for Mountain Sunrise Academy, which if all goes according to plan, is slated to open fall of 2016. This will be the 1st public Waldorf charter school in Utah!
This will be her 5th year teaching at Abella Cottage School, a homeschool co-op, and she will be teaching the 2nd/3rd grade class this year.
Krystelle is involved in Waldorf Community Outreach and founded the group, Utah Waldorf, in August 2011, which has over 300 members. One may join the group by searching for Utah Waldorf on Facebook.
Krystelle also initiated the 1st Waldorf Conference in Utah and has directed and held yearly conferences for the last 3 years.
Traveling is one of her passions and she has been to most of the states in America and travelled to or lived in 15 foreign countries.
Krystelle loves singing and sings with the Millennial Choir which performs twice a year at Abravanel Hall and other places around the country. Krystelle has a B.S. degree from BYU, is the oldest of 11 children, and has 4 children of her own ages 6-13! She enjoys handwork, reading, being out in nature, holistic living, composing piano music, learning new things, and being with her family.
